The McLaren P1, launched in 2013, represents a significant milestone in the evolution of hybrid supercars. As McLaren Automotive's flagship model in their Ultimate Series, the P1 is engineered to exemplify the pinnacle of hybrid technology and performance aesthetics. It incorporates a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor, producing 903 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. This combination enables the P1 to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed electronically limited to 217 mph. Notably, the P1 also features a MonoCage carbon fibre chassis, contributing to a meagre dry weight of approximately 1,490 kilograms, which enhances its agility and speed.
